College Revamps Student Ambassador Programme
Esher Sixth Form College has launched an enhanced Student Ambassador Programme, offering students more opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and professional development.

With around 80 students selected each year, ambassadors play a key role in representing the College and engaging with prospective students and their families.
Students apply at the end of their first year in May and, if successful, undergo a training workshop before assisting at open events. The externally run workshop will help them develop essential skills such as confidence, communication, and public speaking—beneficial not only for College events but also for future academic and career opportunities.
Being an ambassador also enhances UCAS applications and job prospects, particularly for those interested in paid ambassador roles at universities.
Current Student Ambassador, Oluwatobi, described the experience as one of the best parts of her time at Esher. “Helping at all the events has been so fun, there’s never a dull moment and it’s the perfect experience for my CV. It’s a great community to be a part of—and best of all, free Domino’s!”
A key feature of the revamped programme is the introduction of the Star Ambassador role. To qualify, ambassadors will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities. These include supporting new students, participating in research groups, contributing to eco initiatives, visiting schools with the marketing team, or creating digital content for the College.
With its improved structure, Esher Sixth Form College’s Student Ambassador Programme continues to empower students with confidence, leadership, and lifelong skills while strengthening the College’s inclusive and vibrant community.
