6.1 Extension Study Options
The choice of extension study options varies each year and the aim is to provide the broadest possible range, so there is something for everyone.
Extension Studies 2025-2026
For our new students starting in September 2025, there are more than 70 courses to choose from. You should make up to SIX choices during your online enrolment process. Please make sure you are happy with all of your choices, as you are likely to be allocated one of them. If you wish to be considered for a sports team, you must put that team as your first option.
Please note, most courses are free, but where specialist materials and equipment is needed or registration required etc, a charge will be made to cover the costs incurred.
If you are thinking of joining a Sports Team for your extension study, the trials will take place on the following days:
- Mens’ Football
Surnames A-M, 2pm Thursday 28 August 2025
Surnames N-Z, 2:30pm Tuesday 2 September 2025 - Womens’ Football 2pm Thursday 28 August 2025
- Mens’ Rugby 2pm Thursday 28 August 2025
(A second trial may be held on Tuesday 2 September dependent on numbers and if a call-back is required) - Netball 2pm Thursday 28 August 2025
(A second trial may be held on Tuesday 2 September dependent on numbers and if a call-back is required) - Mixed Hockey 2:30pm Tuesday 2 September 2025 at OC Hockey Club
- Basketball
Womens’ Basketball 12:40pm Monday 8 September
Mens’ Basketball 1:50pm Monday 8 September (Call backs Wednesday 10 September
Students interested in College Production must attend the Audition Workshop on Thursday 28 August at 2pm in the drama studio.
