Farewell to a Legacy: Final Charlie O’Donoghue Trophy Awarded to Zoe Walters
Esher Sixth Form College honoured the memory of Charlie O’Donoghue, a former student who tragically passed away in 2003, by awarding the final Charlie O’Donoghue Trophy.
This trophy, donated by his parents Sarah and Tony, has been presented annually for the past 21 years to students who exemplify the admirable qualities that defined Charlie: passion, commitment, and camaraderie.
This year marks both a poignant farewell to this special tribute and a celebration of the remarkable individuals who have been honoured in Charlie’s name over the years.
The 21st and final recipient of this prestigious award is Zoe Walters!
Zoe has been recognised for her outstanding leadership skills, teamwork, and work ethic throughout her time at Esher Sixth Form College – both on and off the football pitch. Her commitment and attitude enabled her to successfully juggle her academic responsibilities, studying three A-Levels, alongside her football commitments at both Esher and Fulham FC.
Zoe served as this year’s captain of the Esher Sixth Form College’s women’s football team and is also the captain of the Fulham FC U18s women’s team. Her dedication and exceptional qualities make her a fitting final recipient of the Charlie O’Donoghue Trophy.
Congratulations Zoe!
