Forgotten your laptop? Use a LapSafe Locker
To further support our students’ academic needs, Esher Sixth Form College has introduced a hassle-free solution for those who may have forgotten their laptops. With a total of 192 laptops housed within the LapSafe Diplomat™ Pro lockers, students can now conveniently access them across various locations on campus.
Spread across four 48-bay systems located in three different areas of the college, the laptops are strategically positioned to cater to students’ needs. Two bays are stationed in the Yellow Zone outside room Y105, one is located in the Blue Zone just outside the Sport and PE office, and another can be found near the Café at the bottom of the stairs leading to the Sociology block.
To borrow a laptop, students simply need their student card. Upon approaching the locker, they are prompted to scan their card, and once identified by the system, a laptop is released for their use.
However, it’s important to note that these laptops are exclusively available for on-campus use. Students will be unable to log in if the device is taken off-campus.
Each loan period extends for 3.5 hours. At the commencement of the loan, students receive an email indicating the due time for returning the device. Additionally, reminders are sent via email if the laptop becomes overdue, ensuring smooth operation and availability for all students.
This initiative aims to alleviate the stress of forgetting personal laptops while ensuring that students have access to the necessary resources they need for their study.
