Liv’s judo journey began at the Ray Stevens Academy, where she trained under 1992 Olympic silver medallist Ray Stevens, in an old scout hut. Her natural talent quickly became evident, earning her a silver medal at the Nationals and a place on the National Teams. Liv was then scouted by the Kin Ryu Judo Club, where she now trains.

Liv’s achievements on the international stage are remarkable. She represented Great Britain at the Pan American Cup in Canada, winning silver in the Under 21 category, and competed for GB at the Youth Commonwealth Games. She has also participated in numerous Cadet European Cups.

Liv is currently ranked second in the UK for the 52kg category, sixth in the Under 48kg category, and 80th globally in the latter. Alongside her academic studies here at Esher, Liv trains five times a week as well as regular sessions in wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to complement her judo skills.

Looking ahead, Liv dreams of competing at World Cups, Grand Slams, and ultimately the Olympics. Beyond her ambitions as an athlete, she hopes to contribute to the sport by opening her own judo club or working within the GB programme as a coach and mentor for future champions.

Liv’s determination and passion is inspiring, and she is a talent to watch in the years to come.
