Rugby Team Eyes Strong Finish After Hard-Fought Season

When the team has come together as a group, they have delivered outstanding performances and showcased a fast, expansive style of rugby.

As the season nears its conclusion, the squad remains determined to finish as strongly as they started, holding onto their position at the top of the Surrey Sixth Form League. However, beyond the results, what has truly stood out this year is the spirit of the team—demonstrating exceptional teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship throughout.

And, of course, no season would be complete without the bus karaoke sessions, proving that their harmony extends beyond the pitch.

 

Captains Reflect on the Season

Team Captains Oscar H. and Isaac C. shared their thoughts on the season so far:

“Our season began with an amazing win against Gordon’s School. Even though we had only a couple of training sessions together, both the first and second years blended well to make a strong team. From there, the season was filled with highs and lows, with many players stepping into unfamiliar positions and a few injuries along the way. Nonetheless, the boys grew as a team and fought through every game they played.”

A standout moment for the squad was their match against a strong Colliers team, where they secured an impressive victory.

“The season has been great, and the team has bonded incredibly well. This is reflected in our current standing at the top of the Surrey Sixth Form League,” the captains added.

With just a few games remaining, the team looks forward to finishing the season on a high and hold on to their top spot on the SSF League.
