Physics Students Shine at the BPhO Senior Challenge
Students from our 6.1 Physics cohort have achieved outstanding results in the highly challenging British Physics Olympiad (BPhO) Senior Physics Challenge, held earlier this month.

This prestigious competition, designed to test problem-solving skills and advanced physics knowledge, is notoriously difficult, with only the top 7% of participants nationally achieving gold.
We are delighted to announce that our students secured an impressive 1 Gold, 10 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals. A special congratulations goes to Cassie H., who earned a Gold medal, an exceptional accomplishment in such a competitive field.
The Senior Physics Challenge is a demanding test of students’ ability to apply physics concepts in unfamiliar and complex scenarios, pushing them beyond the standard curriculum. These fantastic results reflect the dedication, resilience, and talent of our students, as well as the high standards of teaching and support provided by our Physics department.
Congratulations to all who took part—we are incredibly proud of your achievements!
