Dear Parents/Carers, Students and Friends,

As the Spring Term comes to a close, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of the key events and achievements from the past few months. It’s been a busy and productive term across all areas of college life, and I’m pleased to share a selection of highlights that reflect the broad range of opportunities and experiences available to our students.

Celebrating Success and Ambition

We are proud to celebrate an exceptional year of university offers, including twelve Oxbridge offers across a wide range of subjects. These successes reflect the ambition of our students and aided by our outstanding Oxbridge Support Programme.

This term we also marked the 30th anniversary of Surrey’s largest Higher Education Fair. The event brought nearly 80 institutions and was a brilliant opportunity for students to explore their post-Esher options, ask questions, and make connections.

Student Voice and Representation

A standout experience for some of our Politics students this term was the opportunity to spend International Women’s Day at Parliament, meeting MPs, attending debates and engaging in workshops about gender equality and political representation.

Meanwhile, our student delegation to London Youth Model United Nations made a big impact, with thoughtful contributions and strong representation across a range of global topics. It’s always impressive to see students speaking with such confidence, diplomacy and insight on international issues.

Enrichment and Learning Beyond the Classroom

Enrichment remains central to our college ethos and our Learning Resource Centre (LRC) also continues to play a vital role in supporting student development. Whether it’s expert help with research, access to revision materials, or simply a quiet space to focus, the LRC is a hub of support—particularly important as we approach the summer exam season.

Looking Ahead

With A Level and BTEC exams fast approaching, our focus now turns to ensuring that all students feel confident, prepared and supported. Revision and wellbeing resources are in place to help students manage this important period with resilience and clarity.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support this term. I wish all our students and families a restful Easter break, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back for a purposeful and successful summer term.

Best regards,

Dan Hards
