Charlie O’Donoghue was an Esher Sixth Form College student who tragically died in 2003, after completing courses in Leisure and Recreation and Physical Education A Level. He was an enthusiastic and committed member of the College Football Team as well as a hardworking student and a beloved friend to many.
To honour his memory, his parents Sarah and Tony presented a trophy to the College. This trophy, awarded annually over a 21-year period, celebrates individuals who embody the same admirable qualities that defined Charlie – passion, commitment, and camaraderie.
This year marks the 21st and final year. The announcement of this year’s deserving recipient will take place at the end of the academic year, marking both a poignant farewell to this special tribute and a celebration of the remarkable individuals who have been honoured in Charlie’s name.
