Students go live at SKY Studios
Our talented second year students enjoy some hands-on TV studio experience.
In November, 27 of our talented Film and TV BTEC students embarked on an exciting journey to Sky Studios in Isleworth.
They were on a mission to create a 10-minute live news report, exploring the “impact of influencer culture on the young.”
Each student took on a role in the studio, including Director, Producer, Reporter, Writer, Editor and Camera operator, and worked across four different studios to bring their news report to life. The students had done all the research and preparation beforehand, so they could make the most of the day.
Shanthi Suppiah, Teacher and BTEC Course Leader, said, “This trip really helped the students to understand how to work as a team and collaborate with each other. They were able to gain a valuable insight into the various roles in TV, and see first hand how a live TV studio runs and functions.”
