Students Produce Original Songs in One-Day Project
Esher Sixth Form College’s talented music students showcased their skills in an exciting collaborative project during this year’s Wider Skills Week.
Head of Music, Claire Whittaker, reports.
The Wider Skills Week project has grown out of an idea to create a song in one day. It’s an exciting, collaborative and creative process.
Taking place in the College’s main recital room, the project brought together students from both Music A Level and Music Technology courses. Each participant contributed their unique musicianship, style, and approach, resulting in dynamic and creative final tracks.
A special thank you to Jamil Ahmed, who served as Musical Director, and Yusef for their significant roles in the production.
The College is delighted to share the three final tracks with the wider community. These songs, a testament to the students’ hard work and creativity, are available for listening via the links below. Feel free to listen and share!
