Set in a leafy residential neighbourhood close to Hampton Court Palace, Bushy Park and Kingston, we are within easy reach of the M25, M3 and A3.
The College is just a few minutes’ walk from Thames Ditton and Esher train stations, as well as being served by several bus routes. Our students come from lots of different locations and use various means to get here including the train, bus, cycling and walking.
By Bike
We actively encourage cycling to and from College and have on-site parking for 300 bikes, 240 of which are covered– a large area of covered cycle racks in the staff car park near the main student entrance is available for use by cyclists. We strongly advise all students to wear cycle helmets.
By Train
Esher Sixth Form College can be reached on the SWT Line from Waterloo to Hampton Court (Waterloo, Vauxhall, Clapham Junction, Earlsfield, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, New Malden, Berrylands, Surbiton, Thames Ditton, Hampton Court). Trains run every half-hour and the College is less than a 5 minute walk from Thames Ditton Station.
Alternatively, a fast service is run by SWT between Waterloo and Guildford. Trains run every half-hour and the College is a 15 minute walk from Esher Station.
Discount Travel by Train
Get 50% off train travel with a National Railcard 16 to 17 Saver. The 16-17 Saver gives 50% off Standard Anytime, Standard Off-Peak, Standard Advance and Season tickets.
It is designed to enable 16 and 17 year olds to access the same half price child fares that they could access until they were 16 and is valid until they turn 18.
There are some restrictions with 16-17 Saver cards in London fare Zones. If you travel frequently in the London fare zones, you should consider getting a 16+ Zip Oyster photocard.
Alternatively, students can purchase a 16-25 Railcard, which will give 1/3 off train tickets for anyone aged 16-25.

By Bus
Surrey Bus Student Fare Cards entitle 16–18 year old Surrey Students attending full-time education, to travel on Surrey buses at the same fare as under 16s. The journey must begin and/or finish in the administrative county of Surrey. You can apply in advance to ensure your fare card is ready for collection in at the beginning of term.

By Car
For students travelling by car, we have a student car park within the grounds of the College. Students will need to register their vehicle registration number with the Security Officer to obtain a parking permit.
